Community Open House Meetings
Open houses were held in each county/city for public comment and review of drafted mapping. A brief presentation of hazard mitigation and the planning process was given as an overview at these meetings. Additional meeting opportunities for the public to comment and review the draft plan submitted to FEMA will be announced. Draft chapters and mapping are available and comments can be submitted anytime through this website.
All meetings listed below were held from 7 to 9 p.m.

- September 20, Pulaski County: New River Community College, Edwards 206, Dublin

The NRVPDC held two open houses on February 23 and February 24, from 5 to 7 pm at the New River Valley Competitiveness Center in Fairlawn, VA for interested citizens to review regional natural hazard threats and proposed mitigating activities, ask questions and add their comments to review process. The plan has been updated and submitted to the state and federal agencies for review and approval.
