Route 611, Newbern Road Improvements

Newbern Road (Route 611) is a state secondary road that connects old Route 100 near Dublin and the Town of Pulaski (county seat). This stretch of roadway is a more direct and shorter route between the Towns of Dublin and Pulaski, and is well traveled considering its condition. Newbern Road is a well developed corridor with several industrial parks and established subdivisions.

Based on the amount and type of development in this corridor, and the fact that this stretch of roadway has developed into a collector for new subdivisions in the corridor, this short section of highway should be improved to 4-lane travel.
