The Center for Transportation Policy (CTP) in cooperation with the New River Valley Planning District Commission and Roanoke Valley- Allegheny Regional Commission and the Roanoke Valley Area Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Blacksburg/ Christiansburg/ Montgomery area Metropolitan Planning Organizations have examined the region’s human services transportation resources and needs, facilitated a community summit, and prepared this report on public mobility in this region. The report focuses on ways to coordinate human service transportation. The full report includes a discussion of coordination literature; population demographics; findings of a web based survey; interviews and case studies of existing human service transportation efforts. |
